About Lane Sturkie
Lane Sturkie is a lifelong resident of South Congaree, South Carolina, Sturkie has spent more than four decades teaching Bible classes to both youth and adults while serving as a church pianist and former Christian band keyboardist. His background also includes studies in theology, an associate degree in electronics, years of managing medical networking systems, and a successful career building residential and commercial projects across the Carolinas.
Through “The Encounter,” he hopes to engage readers interested in supernatural mysteries while inspiring Christians to deepen their prayer life and strengthen their faith through scripture.

Nigeria Orphanage
The Encounter continues the story of the prophecy Neb turned over to his children and follows encounters experienced during the journey of starting an orphanage in Nigeria.
Blue Fire Encounter
One of the primary encounters in the book is the “Blue Fire Encounter,” inspired by a true-to-life experience involving a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class who was knocked down by lightning while working in her father’s tobacco field.
Tobacco Field Story
The experience occurred on a clear day and was witnessed by several people. Just before being knocked unconscious, she saw a blue haze. The event later made headlines in the local newspaper.
